Requirements

Prepare the following before use:

  • A Windows 10 or Windows 11 PC
  • Steam and SteamVR
  • An HMD and left and right controllers recognized by SteamVR
  • A microphone
  • Headphones or earphones
  • OBS Studio or other capture software if you plan to stream or record
  • The PC version of VRChat if you plan to use VRChat camera sync
Use headphones

Headphones or earphones are required to check binaural audio positioning. Playing microphone audio through speakers can also cause feedback.

Choosing an audio output​

For streaming, it is easier to manage audio if you use a virtual audio device dedicated to this app, or an unused output device. If you use the same output as your everyday speakers, game audio and notification sounds may also be captured by OBS.
